Baby's Eye Color Odd's?

I'm pregnant. My eyes are bright green. The baby's dads are brown. Does anyone know the statistics of what the odds are of the babys eyecolor turning out to be? My other daughter got her dads brown eyes. I want this one to have mine.. Anyone with info or a webpage on this let me know!Baby's Eye Color Odd's?

it depends on whose genes are stronger, people with dark eyes and hair have naturally strong genes, so its more probable that ur babys eyes come out brown, there nothing u can do about it...
brown is the dominant gene...if your husband has some recessive genes with green, there may be a chance that your baby will be geen...most likely they will be brown though...
the will prabbaly be brown
There really aren't any. I mean wouldn't you think that if the same two people have more than one child both kids would have the same hari and eyes...if that were the case.

Well my first has hazel eyes and red hair and the second one has brown hair and blue eyes.

It really just depends.
THIS ALL ACTUALLY DEPENDS ON SCIENCE OF THE CHROMOSOMES....FOR ALL YOU KNOW YOUR CHILD CAN HAVE THE COLORS YOUR GRANDMOTHER HAD OR YOUR HUSBAND'S GRANDMOTHER...SOME BABIES ARE BORN WITH BLUE EYES THAT BECOME BROWN LATER ON IN LIFE...I BET ITS EXCITING THE ANTICIPATION BUT ONE CAN REALLY NEVER TELL YOULL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE :) !
most of the time they get there dad's eye color
You need a hobby... something that will get you to stop worrying about your baby's eye color!
well its more likely 2 be brown. brown is a common colour. in science brown is X and blue and green is Y so if mum or dad was X and other was Y then it wud b XY and as brown is more common so they wud be X. so ur child will most likely have brown eyes. if the parents were YY then that wud b the only way of definitley having a child with blue or green eyes. hope that made sense
Try this site, it helps explain the mathematical models.

Essentially, green eyes are the product of two recessive genes.

Brown eyes are dominant, so your baby's dad could either be double brown or one brown and one blue/green.

If he is double brown, all the kids will have brown eyes. If he has one of each gene, then there is a 50 50 chance of non-brown eyes.

This is based off a simple punnett square, but this sort of model does not account for hazel eyes or the difference between blue or green eyes.
Uh oh ! I just read this.

Brown is a dominate color you will have a child most likely with brown eyes!
Here you go: http://babymed.com/pregnancy-tools/eye-c鈥?/a>
The odds are that the baby's eyes will be brown because brown is dominate, but there are many genes involved in eye color. It really depends on genes from you and he, and genes you both received from your parents.

Here's a fun website:http://museum.thetech.org/ugenetics/eyeC鈥?/a>
Brown is more dominant. I also have green eyes, my husband has brown... our son we had 14 months ago has brown eyes too. :) But anything is possible! Your odds increase the more kids you have lol. My parents both have green eyes, but my two younger brothers both have blue eyes- and different color of blue eyes-one dark, one light. Genetics are fun to see the outcome!
Well Brown is a dominate gean. If one of your baby's daddy's parents has green or blue eyes. you have a 25 % chance that you baby will have green eyes. If both of his parents have brown eyes you have a 0% chance unless there is a genetic mutation.
your baby's eyes are probably going to be brown caause that is the dominant of the 2 colors.
idk but keep in mind that eye color can shift over time.
Brown is a dominant gene. Green is a recessive gene. It all depends on what your parents have and his parents have etc.

For example (here is a bit of a biology lesson.. LOL)... based on punnett square.

For this little example, we will use lower case g for green.

We will use B for brown.

Let's say your parents both have green eyes. This would be gg. You would have received one g from one parent and one g from another parent. You were guaranteed to have green eyes. But if your dad had B brown eyes and your mother had g green eyes than you were given one of each trait and you have a 50 / 50 chance of having green eyes.

Now, your baby gets 1 gene from you and 1 gene from the father. In you, you have a Bg (a parent with one of each) .. which will mean that you will pass on either a brown gene or a green gene. That would be 50 / 50.

If your parents both had green eyes, that would mean in you, you only had gg... which means you will only pass a g on to your baby.

LOL.. now you have to do the same for your husband. If your husbands parents both have brown eyes BB, then your husband has only BB... which means he only has a B to give and that of course leaves your baby with Bg and your baby will have brown eyes.

If your husband had for example 1 B and a g (each of his parents had different eye color.. ) than he would have a 50/50 chance of passing down a brown or a green gene.

IN VERY EASY TERMS................. Babies with green eyes are more rare because it is a recessive gene. Your parents had to have that recessive gene or they both had to have green eyes for it to be passed on to you.

Basically, it will all hinge on your husband............... What color are HIS parents eyes. If they both have brown eyes, than he was given only a BB.. which means your next baby has very little to no chance of having green eyes. Best case scenario... your new baby has a 50/50 chance and that is skewed because you have a very recessive green eyed gene.

So..................... My bet is on brown eyes with the exception that both of your parents have something strange genetically.

Sorry to confuse you. If you told me your parents and his parents eye color, I can certainly tell you much more defined what color they will be.
its a 50 - 50 chance
Exactly the same with me and my hubby, and everyone swore our daughter would have brown eyes...they are BLUE-GRAY!!!

The genetic factors favor brown eyes, but those pesky recessive genes can pop up without warning, so you'll just have to wait and see. The only person with blue eyes is my husband's dad. My dad has green-blue eyes. So, who knows?

I hope you get your wish, though. Green eyes rock!
