I live in the north east part of the country, night hunting for coyotes tonight i saw a pair of red shining eyes under my spot light. What animals reflect red eyes when shined at night? Most animals, including humans will reflect red eyes when light is shined on them. It's a reflection of the blood cells around the retina. Photographers go to great lengths to eliminate the red eye effect when they are using flash equipment in dark surroundings.
