Whats up with Eye color?

Do you wonder what's with eye color. But something I learned was cool, no eye color is the same. can anybody tell me how is that? How is eye color eye color like why isn't there black eyes. It's just so wierd!!!!!!!!!!!Whats up with Eye color?
Eye color is determined by production of melanin (a brown pigment) by melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) in your iris. If there are few/none of these cells producing melanin, your iris will be the color of the underlying pigmented retina (which is usually blue/green).

It is a trait controlled by many factors, but the simple view is that there are 2 basic types: brown and everything else. Brown is viewed as a ';dominant'; trait, meaning that, if a baby receives that version from a parent, he/she will eventually have brown eyes, regardless of the other parent.

Of course, there can be mutations during fetal development and a phenomenon called moasicism which can lead to different eye colors in the same person.Whats up with Eye color?
Strictly up to DNA. Sarah in the Bible is said to have had one blue and one green eye.

Many dog breeds often have a 'China'; blue eye. Huskies, sheepdogs, Australian dogs. It makes no difference in vision.

My Mother was born to parents of dark brown eyes, and her 11 older brothers and sisters had dark brown eyes. Mom has blue eyes. They used to tease her about the milkman.

I have met people with black eyes, btw. Many of them actually , but they are all related. In that family there was a man with eyes the colour of gold of an eagle's. There were also eyes the colour of ice blue and eyes that were turquoise. And a lot of brown eyes. One had almost white eyes and had to wear coloured contacts to keep from being stared at.

What I found was the black eyed members were extremely perceptive and often demonstrated what we in the West call ';the sight';. Before anyone says it, they were black, not deep brown. But then, so did Golden eyes.

Eyes are the window to the soul. Truly beautiful.
Well iris recognition is supposed to be the new fingerprint!

God is amazing...that's all it boils down to
No two people have the exact same eye color because pigments develop differently in everyone. Also, contrary to popular belief, there isn't just one gene that dictates eye color, there are several, so even siblings inheret completely different sets of eye color genes from their parents. I think there are black eyes, too, by the way, I am not sure though.

The really odd thing about eye color is that people with paler blue eyes are more sensitive to light than other people. That is so not fair. :-)
that is very wierd, but i love my light blue eyes
There ARE people with black eyes! Not like being punched -- the color of their eye is black. This is rather common in countries like India. My friends IN India were intrigued when I told them black eyes aren't found everywhere.
I have blue eyes with speckles of green, my eldest son is the same
My husband has 1 blue eye %26amp; 1 browneye, now that IS weird!
